Latvian harpsichordist Tatjana Vorobjova’s Bach … con Passione recital on MDG was one of the real discoveries of this last year for me. Her playing of these works is not just technically assured, but musically satisfying: The pacing perfectly suits the improvisatory sense, while also capturing the driven qualities of this music.
