Fanfare Contributor Bio

Joe Cadagin

I am a doctoral candidate in musicology at Stanford University. My research focuses on post-war and contemporary opera, and I am currently working on a dissertation that examines settings of Lewis Carroll’s Alice books by Hungarian composer György Ligeti and his student, Korean composer Unsuk Chin. In addition to writing for Fanfare, I regularly contribute performance and recording reviews to Opera News and San Francisco Classical Voice.
